Jacklyn Kane

Hello! My name is Jacklyn Kane and I teach 4th grade at Naranca Elementary.  I’m originally from Wisconsin and in 2003 I earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  In the fall of 2004, I moved to San Diego to fulfill my dream of living on the west coast. I then attended San Diego State University to get my teaching credential and began teaching at Naranca in 2007.  In 2014, I went back to SDSU and earned a Master’s of Education with an emphasis in K-8 Mathematics.

The best part of my job is that I get to help my °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ navigate through life.  It’s important to me to build relationships with each one of my °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ and help them succeed whether it’s academically or personally.   In my classroom, all thinking styles are encouraged and celebrated and we learn from each other.

I love to spend my free time with my husband, my dog, and my friends.  We spend a lot of time traveling, trying new restaurants, hiking, playing frisbee, practicing yoga, and going to the dog park.
